Maria Somerville is an Irish musician and sound artist from Connemara whose work is an atmospheric blend of folk, ambient and dream pop. Her music is strongly influenced by the landscape of her homeland and combines traditional motifs with modern, experimental layers of sound. With her releases – including All My People and her new album Luster – she has made a name for herself as a versatile and introspective artist. In addition to her own music, she also curates programmes on NTS Radio, moving between delicate melodies, nature sounds and hypnotic soundscapes.
