Somewhere Good by Tara Clerkin Trio is an upcoming album (June 5, 2026) that showcases the Bristol-based group’s distinctive blend of avant-pop, trip-hop, modern classical, and experimental music. Formed in 2020, the trio—Tara Clerkin, Sunny Joe Paradisos, and Patrick Benjamin—embraces a collaborative, somewhat mysterious creative process, blurring lines between live performance and studio construction.

Following earlier releases like In Spring (2021) and On The Turning Ground (2023), this album is seen as their most fully realized work. Across 40+ minutes, it explores themes such as displacement, illness, and restlessness, yet maintains a warm, immersive atmosphere. Their sound combines harmonium, upright bass, acoustic guitar, subtle electronics, and understated vocals, creating hypnotic, fluid compositions.

While echoes of the “Bristol sound” (trip-hop) can be heard, the trio transcends genre, crafting music that feels deeply personal, textured, and uniquely their own.
